Thank you all for such great support.

I had my first treatment with my chemo "cocktail" today. It went very well and I'm feeling pretty good but totally exhausted. I think it's mostly from the premeds and the fact that my hemoglobin was low. I got a bag of tagament, decadron, benedryl, and an IV push of Aloxie (spelling?) before my treatment. My daughter took me and that's a good thing as I don't think I would have been able to drive myself home without falling alseep at the wheel. I also got a prescription for Phenegram for nausea if I need it which I did about an hour ago. I'm glad I don't have to take the Decadron pills like I did when I had the Taxatore!

I will get a scan in approximatley 8 weeks to check if this regime is working or not. I'm hoping and praying that it does the trick. My plan is to kick these nasty mets to the curb!

My grandson's birthday party is Sunday afternoon and I will be going to it. He will be 7 and I wouldn't miss his special day for anything. He is the light of my life. I'm sure all you grandmothers feel the same way about your grandchildren. They are a very special gift.

Again, thank you for yoiur support and encouragement. Don't know what I'd do without this great website and all the wonderful, inspiring women here.
