That is when the thyroid is sluggish, right? Are you taking medication for it?

During Herceptin treatment, I was gaining weight like crazy. Every time I stepped on the scale I had gained 2 pounds. I swore that what I was eating was not enough to be gaining weight...I felt that I was eating just enough to maintain my weight and possibly even be losing weight.

My onc checked my thyroid...yup, it was sluggish. Sent me to an endocrinologist who said he would not recommend medication at this point. Some docs would, he said, but he thought the numbers should indicate more of a problem before he would recommend meds.

I later learned that many people had indicated a weight gain while taking herceptin. (Understand I'm not complaining...) But now the weight needs to come off.
