Hi Cheryl,

My condolences, as nausea sucks! I was lucky that Emend was my ticket to a nausea-free A/C.

I experienced no nausea (needed no drugs to help me) on taxol/herceptin. Instead of being fatigued for a week, it lasted only a day or two. What was a problem was extreme dehydration. I would actually panic if I forgot to bring a water bottle. I had to use saline nasal sprays, stool softeners and vaseline the inside of my nose before I went to bed.

I didn't wan't to count on taxol being easier and then be let down if it wasn't either. But thankfully it wasn't so bad. I do know of several women that had trouble with neuropathy (I think the chance is lessened with a weekly dose) and you might want to look into supplements that may help (vit b?) I didn't have any luckily.

Good luck! I know 12 treatments may seem like a lot, but it goes by faster than you would think!
