Re: How many times can you get taxotere

How many times can you get taxotere? Let me give you some anctedotal data (or at least one data point). :-) My wife has been on a taxane weekly for the better part of a year and a half now and...

Re: Treatment Question

Greg,

My wife is in a very similar situation... stage 4 at dx, strongly Her2+ by FISH, and relatively young (37). She's a little more than a year into this. I would really agree with the...

Re: Anyone on TDM1???

Hi WayTooYoung,

Can I ask a question about your trial? I have not seen many current T-DM1 trials now that do not have the addition of another chemo agent (Taxol, Navelbine, etc.). Is this also...

Re: Dr. Slamon's 10-6-11 NEJM review on Herceptin

Hi Chrisy...really curious what your onc thinks about this with regard to MM-302. I can only guess that an anthracyline attached to Trastuzumab/Her2 targeted agent would have less systemic toxicity...

Re: It's official

Really sorry to hear about your situation, but as others have mentioned there are so many good treatment options for HER2+ breast cancer. And, while technically stage 4 is incurable, there is more...

Re: Surgery for Stage IV at DX?

My wife is also stage 4 with liver mets (also dx in April), and this was one of my key questions. What role does surgery play at this point? Our oncologist seems to feel that surgery will likely...

Re: TDM-1 side effects

One interesting drug to watch for will be everolimus (Affinitor). There is currently a Phase III clinical trial for MBC, but I believe this is a trial primarily as a first line of treatment.

In...

Re: New Vaccine trial

Just my $0.02, but it seems that your current regimen of Tykerb + Herceptin is working splendidly! if you are stage 4 and now NED, you can't ask for better response than that.
