Re: ZW25 clinical trial - day one

I would question the doctor. Keytruda can have serious even fatal side effects but the side effects are immunological. The T cells become too active and can cause auto-immune disease. If this occurs...

Re: IBC ( inflammatory breast cancer)

There is an enzyme very involved with IBC called Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase. About 90%
of inflammatory breast cancers are partially driven by the abnormal functioning of this enzyme. There is...

Re: Sleepness nights after chemo

You are correct that Ativan is technically not an anti-nausea drug. Some cases of nausea and vomiting are partly psychological. The patient remembers past nausea and vomiting and
anticipates the...

The name of the anti-nausea drug that causes drowsiness probably was Ativan, generic name Lorazepam.

Re: Scientists perform successful trial of new antibiotic on cancer reoccurrence afte

It may be Zinc more than Calcium although both seem to be involved. I hate to split hairs but I want to be accurate. Both Zinc and Calcium (and the iron in Ferrous sulfate) are divalent (two positive...

Re: Scientists perform successful trial of new antibiotic on cancer reoccurrence afte

Very Interesting.
Ive always believed that the key to fighting cancer will be by using old drugs. Actually Doxycycline is a Tetracycline derivative. It has been known for years if not decades that...

Re: Can aspirin help treat cancer?

The use of Aspirin as a cancer treatment makes sense. One Caveat. Dont self medicate without the doctors knowledge. Asprinin reduced fever. If you are on any drug that lowers
the neutrophil count...

Re: Medical Marajuna Girls

I called Walgreens in Huntington Beach California and asked the price of thirty 25mg Movantik tablets without insurance. It is usually taken once daily. It was cheaper than I thought-four Hundred one...

Re: Medical Marajuna Girls

Cathy

Fast tracking the drug may well be a reason. Im not sure it is the only one. I reasoned pharmacologically that Ibrance could be used in Her2 Neu positive patients. I was t sure. sometimes...

Re: Medical Marajuna Girls

Ibrance is a fairly good drug. Some advances have been made. But the underlying suffering from cancer has not changed much in the fourty years I mentioned.

Its a crap shoot really. Some people...

Re: Chemo Not Needed for Most Early Breast Cancer: TAILORx

Chemo kills a percentage of cells. Say 99.9%. There are still many cancer cells left and the survivors are resistant to the chemo that killed 99.9% of their "siblings." In time these survivors grow...

Re: DS-8201A Trial

I looked up the drug. It is Herceptin conjugated with a Topoisomerase 1 inhibitor. This class of chemo drugs can cause ocular problems. Just a pharmacological guess but it makesd sense. Ask the doc...

Re: ZW25 clinical trial - day one

10mg of Decadron is a lot of steroid. It doesnt sound like much but Decadron is potent. Since 0.75mg of Decadron (Dexamethasone) =5mg Prednisone, 10mg Dexamethasone = about 66mg, almost 70mg of...
