Emy - I had a resection to remove 2 mets in Feb. 2005. Did chemo prior to surgery. Have been NED since. It wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Best wishes!

Thanks everyone - it is scary Pam. I have not had anything show up on scans in 10 years (after my liver resection) . So as one doctor put it - 'we're treating something we can't even see'.

Good news....

Just had my check up with blood work, chest x-ray, echo, CT scan, bone density scan and after 13 years total (9 after mets to liver) - everything is A OK! I will go to yearly scans and 6mos blood...

Karen, I had two mets on my liver ablated at MDAnderson in 2005. Great place, great doctors. I've been NED since! Praise God.

The steroids alone will take you on the ride you're on with the depression. Just keep in mind - this too shall pass. One day you'll look back and it will all be a blur!
