Just remember that in a HER2 BC, the combination of herceptin + chemo is expodentially better than either one alone. That said, even if xeloda does cross the BBB, it is likely to be of little benefit...

Dear Sally.
Navelbine with or without xeloda has been very successful with liver mets, with herceptin of course. Maintenance xeloda and herceptin also works well.
