I've had one treatment of Ixempra on the 1st of Feb. My 2nd will be Monday. It hasn't been too bad. For about the first 7 days, I had small shooting pains throughout my body with just a couple days...

This is big news!!!! Maybe explains being stage 4 right from the start AND getting minimal mileage out of chemos. I would love to know....the drug to switch it off can't come quick enough!

I have been on Tykerb/Xeloda for the last 3 months....my docs have said the next step for me is to add Navelbine to the mix. Hopefully, this will hold me until T-DM1 is available to the general...

It leaves my feet orangish, but it fades pretty fast. It's also very drying, so I use a lot of moisturizer (Bag Balm & Udderly Smooth). So far, so good...and this is coming from someone that...

I boil 1/4 of a cup of water, then add 1/8 cup of henna to the hot water and stir with a plastic spoon (should be the consistancy of tomato soup or a little thicker), then pour into a small plastic...

Henna leaves my feet kinda orangish-brown...and fades pretty fast. Sometimes I soak my feet in a bath with baking soda and epsom salts. That gets rid of the color from the henna and makes my feet...

Check out the thread 4 or 5 below this one about "Tykerb and Xeloda, side effects"....I have had good luck with henna.
I am also using Bag Balm at night with socks....and take 300 mg B6/day.

I've been using henna for the last month for my hand/foot syndrome while on Xeloda. It's working great for my hands and feet...and I know how bad it can be while I was on Doxil without the henna....

I'll be starting Tykerb as soon as I receive it in the mail....my Onc said that I will continue to have Muga scans. Is this customary and if so, is Tykerb as bad on the heart as Herceptin is?
