Re: " Our data strongly suggest that selected pts with HER2+ tumors may not need chem
I used the immodium more at the beginning because the study coordinator told me that I should take it as soon as I saw need. But then I wouldn't go for a couple days so decided to wait and see if I...

Re: " Our data strongly suggest that selected pts with HER2+ tumors may not need chem
I was wondering if I would run into anyone else on this study. I am also at BCM. I was selected for 24 weeks and unlike chemo, it got easier as time went along. I bought a big bottle of Imodium...

Re: herceptin + tykerb (no xeloda)
The biggest issue I had with Tykerb was when I realized it was partially blocking the levoxyl I was taking at the same time. I tried moving the levoxyl to bedtime, but found that I wasn't disciplined...

Re: Vitamin D treatment may have potential to decrease rate and incidence of mets in
Interestingly enough, I tested low for vitamin D last year and was low normal the year before. I was put on a megadose of vitamin D supplement around March of 2011 and when tested a couple months...

Re: herceptin + tykerb (no xeloda)
I have been on a drug trial for neoadjuvant therapy. I get Herceptin infusion every 3 weeks and take 4 tablets of Tykerb in the morning on an empty stomach. I've had very little problems with it. I...

Re: " Our data strongly suggest that selected pts with HER2+ tumors may not need chem
Hopefully all the others in the trial are responding as well. If so, this could eventually make a radical change in neoadjuvent and possibly adjuvent treatment for future her2 positive BC patients. ...

Re: " Our data strongly suggest that selected pts with HER2+ tumors may not need chem
I am on this trial. I started in mid-January and will be finishing off in 4 weeks. So far results have been great and side effects have been minimal to non-existent. When I began treatment, I had a...

Re: Genetically Engineered Food
I've always thought of "natural" as unadulterated and certainly not GMO, and most people I talk to agree with this interpretation. But because the FDA does not regulate the use of the word...

Re: herceptin + tykerb (no xeloda)
I am on Tykerb/Herceptin combo for neoadjuvent therapy. I'm currently taking 1000 mg of Tykerb and getting Herceptin every 3 weeks. I just completed 12 weeks and have 12 more to go before surgery....
