New HER-2 iPhone App
 

I went to the LBBC fall conference last Saturday, and in the schwag bag I found a beautiful white journal from Genentech with a card announcing a new "4HER" app for iPhone to be released this month. It says it'll help you get information, explore questions to ask your doctor, play a game, relax with guided meditation, connect with others, "and more." I don't have an iPhone, but I thought I'd pass this on.

All three of the drugs I'm on are made by Genentech. I'm grateful.

It's going to be great. I was at the advisory board in Sept. and saw a demo. I cannot say more since I signed a non-disclosure, but since they are handing out cards announcing it, I think it's okay to comment that you will really enjoy it!

Thanks for sharing, any ideas of when they will have it for the Android? I am not planning on buying an iphone any time soon, although my husband would love to get me one...

That's one interpretation, but if the "an" prefix only referred to males, then "anthropology" would be the study of men and a "misanthropist" would not hate all of humankind, but only males. My dictionary says "android" means human-like. The androids or "Droids" in the Star Wars movies are human-like robots. I'm thinking the name for the phone has more to do with robots than sex hormones.

Also, women have male sex hormones, just in lower quantities than men do.

Everyone's entitled to her/his own opinion, but I see nothing shocking.

Ditto. I have no idea. I have an android phone and an 88% chance of being overexpressed on androgen receptors. Im not interested in an app. I love to see things on the big screen.

I'm not understanding the concerns being expressed. As far as I can tell, an app that can offer us up to date information will be available soon. We can use it or not Period

Not sure what the hubbub is all about, either. Anyway, just downloaded it. Most apps don't impress me, so I'll see how this one is.
