Back to cancer center - but not for progression!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to post a quick update.

My medical oncologist has a special interest in how our bones do with cancer and aging.

We have been watching my hips, femoral neck density, etc. for several years.

Just enough slippage in the age-matched percentage at last scan that she thought it was time for me to try Zometa again (it has been many years since I had any of that). My insurance will cover two injections per year, so I started yesterday.

Was actually nice to see a couple of my nurses from the past and for them to see me doing well.

Felt well today. Did all kinds of things, including a trip to my local farmer's market in the cool drizzle. Thought I might ache a little with this weather change, but not so far.

Hi Steph,

Glad to hear from you.

Send us some rain down south, please. We are so dry, is scary.

Love,

Adriana

Hi -

No trip to France this year, Sarah. Maybe 2015, we hope.

Adriana - it is dry here again. No rain for the next week on the radar. Our back yard grass dried up in early July - and it is usually mid-August before it looks like that! I even put a little water on it ...

Our berries have been wonderful this year - from the early strawberries to the raspberries that I am still picking a few every other day.

Still OK on my Zometa. No S/E that I can tell.

Steph I get Zometa once a year and see my old chemo nurse's and and the lady who served the hot dinners who remembered I felt queasy at hot food and always only brought me biscuits and tea:)

We've just had a mini heatwave here in Ireland at 27c and no rain for a week but its back to normal 21c today and some light showers which suits me fine!:)
