In hoping for a cure for HIV, any lessons for us HER-2??

Hi fellow HER-2ers,

I just read this article talking about a potential cure for HIV. It seems very interesting to me that the gene therapy approach may end working well against HIV. I couldn't help it but draw parallels to HER-2 and think about the potential for a similar approach - I guess this is what all the vaccine trials out there are trying too?

Well..one of the emerging viral strategies to fight cancer is Viracept, an early, not ridiculously expensive AIDS treatment:
