?why Elevated her2 levels? negative scans?
 

Hi I haven't posted in a while, but still read and share the site with others. I am not working anymore on SS disability. That was tough but, God has created so many opportunities for me to share my journey and be able to help others.
my her2 levels are continuing to rise in May it was 7.5, july 16.5, Aug 19.3, Ca15-3 are stable between 20-23. August 4th Pet and Brain Mri were clear. does anyone know if their is other causes for the Her2 levels to rise?

Tumor markers or Her2 serum test? Was the PET a PET/CT? Hmmm. Perhaps have a bone scan also, just to be extra sure. PET/CT scans don't have the ability to pickup the tiniest spots of activity, perhaps have it done again in 3 months?

thanks, I do serum her2 levels, and PET/CT scans. My onc just increased my Tykerb back to 100mg from 750 a day. we had lowered it last year because of the "poop patrol", so now I am changing times for my Bentyl and other probiotics, and other supplements.
I go in 3 weeks and repeat the labs including the HER2. My Neurosurgeon will get to my brain Mri this week, to review it. So we will see. I have been NED since fall of 2006 neck down. My gut says something is hinding in my head somewhere. Onc says wait atill next appt in September and reassess then, rather than adding any chemo at this time.
