A better prognosis
After my wife's 6th herceptin on 20th July the Onc ordered a PET/&.CT which was done the 31st July and we got the report yesterday The Onc said his earlier prognosis of 1-2 yrs will now be 2-3 years. The concluding part of the report says "skletal lesions show sclerosis in the present scan which were lytic in the previous scan indicating active healing"
The Onc told me that he is satisfied and that after the 9th herceptin he will swirch over to tykerb I have got Quillin's book after eading about that here and I am changing her diet regime and hoping fpr the best and I wanted to share thr news with all of you PBK |

Re: A better prognosis
What wonderful news! Thanks for sharing.
Tykerb is a much smaller molecule that will clean up whatever Herceptin did not 'catch'... |
Re: A better prognosis

Re: A better prognosis
That's very great news...your wife has a good team behind her...which also includes you. ;) It's so sweet of you to research and help her through all this. There are so many that should, could, but don't. She is very blessed to have a wonderul husband by her side. Adding Tykerb seems like a great plan...keep us updated on how that goes.
