clear scan after 6 months off herceptin!
 

Hi everyone
Just letting you know my CT scan was clear. I went off herceptin after 4 years on it after having a liver spot in 2005. This spot disappeared after 9 weeks of taxol and herceptin. So I have been off herceptin now for 6 months and my scan last week was clear.

Current "treatment"= flaxseed 25 g/day; Q10 100-200 mg/day; fish oil 1-2 g DHA/flaxseed oil 10 g a day.
Natural progesterone cream; oestriol cream (the good estrogen); olive leaf extract; reishi mushroom extract occasionally; Vit B, C, D.

Can I just add a frustration about research. Whatever has happened it seems your body has mounted it's own immune response and killed off the enemy. Wouldn't it be wonderful if some scientists could study your blood (and others in this situation ) to try to discover what has happened and maybe hasten a 'cure'. I know this won't happen in reality but I guess women like yourself keep the hope alive that we can all beat this thing.

And I am sure a relief for you. We stage IV types who are taking this plunge are gaining in numbers and strength. I learned about another long-term Herceptin user who is off the drug for the better part of a year and doing well.
