how much tykerb in TY + Herceptin study?
 

How do I find out how much tykerb was used with herceptin in the recently reported studies? Thanks for any help - I just can't seem to find that clinical trial or info.

The seminar quoted the dose was started at 1500mg a day in the beginning trials, but for the efficacy trials of the combo, 1000mg a day.

I was very interested in this study, and I am doing well on the combo....I take 1250 mg a day

First things first. Flori, you look fantastic! (Sheila, you're looking pretty good too...)

I started on 1500, but the digestive problems needed relief, so I have been on 1250 for a year now and find it pretty manageable.

Good to hear the efficacy is consistent at 1000, in case I ever need to drop it again. I pretty much love this combo.

Oh yea, Twinkie - that's Rocky. After rescuing him from the doggie pound, paying the vet bills, the walking, the brushing, the pooper-scoopering - he dropped me like a hot potato once my daughter came home from college. All she did was let him on her bed and took him hiking everyday. Now he wags at me as he passes me in the hall. No more devotion:) Oh well. Ha.

Just FYI---Dr. Slamon orginally prescribed 1000mg per day but I got serious hives after 5 days. So he reduced my dosage to 750mg which I have been on for almost 1 year.
