Stable on T-DM1
After 2 cycles my scans show that I am stable. I had a sclerotic bone met in my sternum with soft tissue involvement, inclulding one node. I knew that the bone met would not show change but I thought the soft tissue areas would. The soft tissue has always appeared as scarring so I'm hoping that's what it is. All in all, I am satisfied with these results. I have my 3rd cycle tomorrow.

Not that is what I am talking about Kim!! Go girl! Funny, I was praying for you Monday night and made a mental note to inquire. Never found the time but so happy you did. Rock on My Special Warrior, show that cancer how it is done. Take that!!
I'll be sending special prayers for tomorrows chemo. You just made my day...now I have something to revel in today!!>>Believe51 |
Great news, Kim! Yes, we will agree with you that the involved soft tissue IS scar. Do they do punch biopsies to confirm scar or mets continuing?? Seems this is a difficult one to measure.
Looks like the DM1 is working well since you and Tykerb did not agree to work together. Hope you are feeling OK on this drug. NED awaits. |
Kim,
Glad to hear your good news. Amelia |
Great news! You're well on your way...

Kim
This is GREAT news. If you don't mind me asking which center do you go to for treatment. I'm in VA and I drive up to the Lombardi Center, |
Kim,
That is such good news!!! And thank you for keeping us posted. Many of us are cheering on all of you T-DM1 pioneers. I hope that round 3 moves those mets from "stable" to "diminishing" then GONE baby GONE. I am certain that NED is just a few steps away. Please continue to keep us posted....Lori |
God bless all the warriors on the front lines. Glad you are getting good results.

Kim,
Great news! Joan |
Thank you all for the support. If it were not for this site, I would not have heard of T-DM1 (niether would my onc).
The only symptoms I seem to have are elevated liver enzymes. The first 2 cyles I had achy (sp?) flu like pains on the 4th day. As I am writing this note, I realize that this is day 4 from treatment 3 and so far so good. Other than that, if it were not for going to the doctor every week, I woudn't even feel like I had cancer. Praying for us all Kim |
Kim,
I am glad to hear about your treatment. Like you, this board and the people who come to it have helped me tremendously. Amelia |
