Her2 Genes You can wear!
Has anyone seen the advertisement for Her2 Genes....they are a limited time offer from the Frankie B Jean and clothing company.....they are pricy to say the least...165.00 a pair, but during Sept., Oct. and Nov, 107.00 for each pair sold goes to Y-Me Organization. I went to the website, it even supports the Genentech Logo...and the Y-Me.....
Address is: www.her2genes.com Of course pink Oreck vacuums (they are 550.00 (yikes) and they donate 50.00 to the Komen Foundation www.cleanforthecure.com My pick would be the Rowenta Pink Iron, that retails for 80.00, with all procedes going to breast cancer research in the month of Oct. www.rowentausa-ironforpink.com Just thought I would pass these along in case anyone wants one of these...it was a full page in the Chicago Tribune ...the other items were Philosophy brand shower for the cure, 20.00 with all 20.00 going to breast cancer, Avon...they always donate and GOSMILE toothpaste and whitener for 5.00 with proceeds to fund BC research... Oh, and my favorite that Steph told me about is the www.feelyourboobies.com website, with tshirts that make quite a statement...all from a breast cancer survivor. |
Think Pink
Thanks Sheila - I think I NEED a new iron!
(If I make enough money at the Bead Society show this weekend maybe I can look into those Genes!) And now that it is cooler, I will be sporting my Feel Your Boobies long sleeved tee just to get a rise out of the locals here in the Misty Woods.... |
Thanks Sheila! Cool sites, especially FeelYourBoobies; but the link didn't work :( so am taking the liberty of posting it again:

Sheila, I love the her2 jeans. Very cool, thanks for the link. Also, just wanted to say, what a great way to get others to see the need to test her2 in bc.

FYI if you liked the jeans
Just a little update if anyone is considering ordering these...I got a call yesterday from Daniella Clarke of Frankie B jeans, she is the creator of Frankie B line and these jeans....not that I am a fashionista, but I do know that Frankie B Jeans are nortoriously low rise...she assured me that these do have a higher rise (not the but crack jeans that most are), but they are still "low riders" with a front rise of 7.5 in. She also said they run small for size and ordering a size up would be a good idea.....she was very pleasant and said she hopes that these jeans raise even more attn. to Her2 positive breast cancer awareness...we need her as a sponsor for this site....

Thanks Sheila I must say you are right on top of it!! I think we surviors of Her2 should get a discount on these genes. Just my opinion. hugs, Sandy

HER2 Jeans
After taking a close look and thinking about the front and back rises, looks to me that they are not for me either.
They need to make these along the lines of the Not My Daughter's Jeans brand (come up to our hip bones and have some sort of waist) that is sold in Nordstrom for more of us to wear them. These Frankie B's are great for the younger gals or those who do not have the Herceptin/lack of Estrogen/menopause weight that won't go away even if we starve ourselves. I don't have a daughter to buy them for. |
I guess I should have asked if my Herceptin belly roll goes over or under the 7 in rise!!!! Definately a young girls jean!
|
Gotta get me a t-shirt!
|
Steph is on top of it again! They are not for me either and I don't have a daughter. I guess, its better to have them for the younger as they would be more apt to purchase them where as we parents don't spend that kind of money on jeans or I don't. Just my opinion. hugs, Sandy
