Ali,
Christine was first treated with gamma knife in August 1999. A follow up MRI in March 2000 showed numerous lesions. She then had wbr. In the fall of 2002, an MRI showed a small 9 X 11 mm tumor. She was again treated with Gamma Knife. She has had no subsequent problems. Regards Joe |
I had Wbr and a craniotomy and once gamma knife. I was on Temodar for about a year and I got a reoccurance. My brain surgeon says studies show it works well when brain tumors are the primary tumor but not that great in mets. If you decide to take it you should take it with zofran. Also it is extremely expensive.

Thanks for all advice seen Neuro-onc yesterday he feels the best option is to have chemo then if necessary Gamma Knife to any persistant ones. He also said if necessary he would try WBR again so feeling more relieved.
