I've been on these boards now for some two years and belive it or not I still don't know how to post a link.

Well, it's like this: I certainly know I can post the address of a website in the body of my message. But what if I want to upload an abstract or paper that I just have sitting on my hard drive. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance to the more computer-savvy among you.

As soon as you tell me I'll post some good articles on IP6 that I just got from the guy who does most of the research on it!

Jeff

Jeff,

When you post a new topic or reply to a post there is a line titled "code buttons" clicking on the left hand one "http://" opens a window where you can place your link address. BE SURE THAT THERE IS ONLY 1 HTTP://

When you click "OK" another window opens where you can place a title.

That's all there is.

Joe

Jeff
I believe you can either copy paste it or add it as an attachment as we do our photos....hope this helps

Thanks Joe and Sheila. But I'm still not clear on how to add something that's neither a picture nor a URL. I 'm talking about trying to paste in a pdf

Is there something I'm missing?

Jeff,

Your not stupid, It's just that sometimes I don't explain things unless there is a need to know.

If you would like a pdf placed on the website, it becomes a tad more involved.

You must first email me the .pdf file, I will then ftp it to the website.
After I place it on the site, I will send you a link to the file:

example: http://www.her2support.org/vision.pdf

You should then post your message and place the link inside the message.

The reason for this is so that my account on the server does not get filled up with files.

This may be resolved soon as shortly we will be hosting our message boards on a different server than our main website. This should speed up the page loads.

Warmest Regards
Joe
