~Mighty Oak's Petscan Results~4/1/08 UPDATE
My Sweet Nurse Advocate, Nancy called last night at 7:50 pm. She always waits until she is about to leave to give us news we would not get this quickly without her. A quote from Nancy:
"Petscan showed overall improvement in all bones, with no more progression." Ed got rid of the initial Inflammatory rash with the first treatments and they never returned, we watch this area (chest wall) very well and are thankful they remain at bay. These bones however, have proven to be very stubborn to maintain and this is the best news pertaining to them that we have received since the start of this journey. This news is what we have been waiting for and I pray there is more just like it!! Although he is not considered 'NED' yet his tumor markers are still declining in the right direction. Heart is healthy enough to carry him into his 8th A/C treatment (4 to go). He feels that this chemotherapy is still working for him. Ed feels like the top of his game and that this may be the treatment choice we searched for. April 7th is his Brain MRI and we are still asking for those prayers to remain with his name on them. We are almost there Friends, we are almost dancing with NED surrounded by jasmine and honeysuckle. They will both be in season when we get the 'all clear' (how is that for timing??)!! For now, Ed and I wish we have instilled some more HOPE in the eyes of Breast Cancer for all you wonderful souls!!>>Love to Everyone>>Believe51 |
Hallelujia!
This message put SO MUCH JOY in my day!!
Ed is the POSTER MAN and we always knew it would come to pass. Could not have heard better news, as I sit waiting for my window washers to arrive. Oh - we also have some sun today so they will be able to see what they are doing! (That is not an "April fools"!) |
Maire,
This absolutely made my day. I am so happy for you and Ed. I'll keep the prayers coming. much love, Tonya |
Marie,
I am so happy for you and Mighty Oak. I thought about you two yesterday. I have a MRI on the 7th too. I then have a PET scan on the 10th to see how the chemo has affected my tumors. Please say a pray for me also. You have just offered me some encouragement. I also have a place on my spine. Amelia |
