My sister is due to start on the new UCLA trial for Herceptin once a week and Avastin every other week. She is HR2+ and they have found nodules in the lungs. I know there are others out there going through this. Please contact me if you are included in this trial.

I am not on the trial but would very much appreciate any information you might have to share. In February, I had a consult with Dr. Dennis Slamon and thought he mentioned the Herceptin/Avastin combo but when I mentioned it to my onc, she seem incredulous. After that, I started wondering if my memory played tricks on me. Thanks and best wishes to your sister.

I am not on a trial but am currently taking Herceptin/Avastin as well as Carboplatin/Taxol.

How did you do on avastin?
 

Appreciate any experience you care to share about using avastin, as I am trying to get it, with gemcitabine/cisplatin.

Iam half way through this trial. Going well, my oncologist was unable to find my breast tumor manuall last week and I'm awating scan results next Tue[23rdMay]
Hoping my secondary lung spots have gone as well.
Hope this is cheering to you but feel this is not the same trial as you are on.
