For early stage bc, how are you being monitored?

Hello,

If you are at stage 0 or 1, what method (tumor marker, imaging, clinical exam, or ???) and frequency (quarterly, semi-annually, annually, or ???) are used to monitor for relapse?

Thanks,

Nguyen

I was stage 1A and my oncologist doesn't do testing unless the patient is symptomatic. I have had concerns about things in the past though and she ordered testing to alleviate any concerns (real or imagined). I was going in to see her every six months until last year when I graduated to seeing a nurses practioner once a year, starting next month.

I was seeing my ONC for 6 years then wanted me to come back only for symptoms. I did that for 2 years, now I see the NP every year just to keep tabs on this ugly disease. Though I only receive breast exams no other testing, unless there are symptoms
