8 years since diagnosis....so thankful

I am doing well, i thank God for that,I have shifted my residence to India from Kenya. The Onc here was surprised that i was given only 9 doses of herceptin and not 12. so that is worrying me now. Hope everything will be fine. I remember gratefully of all the support i got here through my chemos, cobalt radiation etc. Love you all

Congratulations Christie, 8 years on and NED, you are the living example of the importance of neo-adjuvant Herceptin at early stage diagnosis. (I wouldn't be too worried 8 years on that you only had 9 doses!) All the best for the next 8 years, and then the next 8 years, and then the next 8 years.......

Cheers Marie

Thank you so much Marie... All the best to you and to all the people on this forum.... Many people I knew in this group have passed on but they really helped me during my difficult and confusing times. Hope to hear from some ladies who used to advice me in 2008

Congratulations! and thanks for looking in and letting us know you are doing so well.

Glad to hear you are still being followed in India. You did not post the name of the chemo you had for 8 rounds, prior to surgery, if I understand your sig.

Stay well - you look happy as if life is good for you.

Congratulations Christie! I remember you and the cobalt radiation. Don't worry about the nine doses versus twelve. Those doses worked! Look at you now - radiant.

Christie you look fantastic! I remember your cobalt treatment...because it seemed so unorthodox! Keep checking in...we can use as much good news as possible!!

Thank you so much everyone....it's great to realise that you all remember me. I have put up my latest picture, the new hair came back with full revenge. The cobalt radiation and all went very well. StephN I took 4 rounds of adriamyciin and cyclophosphamide and 4 rounds of taxotere and 9 sittings of herceptin. Just hope everything will be fine.

I am just on half yearly check up... A ultrasound of my left breast and a complete blood profile. Is that enough? Should I do any other test? I am not on medication either. Please advice
