Mets-ers....does learning of progression ever get easier?
Since learning of liver mets two days ago, I have been a hot weepy mess. Just like I was at initial diagnosis, just like I was at brain mets diagnosis.
Does every step back feel just as bad as the first diagnosis? I need to get a handle on this...this is my life now. Would love to hear from you on how you handle the ups and downs of progression....I don't like roller coasters too much, I prefer the merry-go-round. ;) |

I have had several roller coaster rides as you can read in my signature. It's tough in the beginning always but once you start treatment you see hope and feel more positive. I wish you the best with your treatment!

No Embur,
I don't think it ever gets easier to get news of progression. The only thing is the amazing resilience of the human spirit - once things settle down a bit and some kind of plan is in place, most of us just go on with the business of living as best as we can. best wishes to you..... Pam |

I don't have experience with mets but I know every ache and pain I have freaks me out!! Hoping that gets better with time as well. I just wanted to let you know i am thinking of you and adding you to my nightly prayers for the strength to handle your roller coaster ride. Have faith!! God Bless!

Re: Mets-ers....does learning of progression ever get easier?
It seems like its one step forward and three steps back, but I just try and stay in today. I agree with Pamelamary once a plan is in place things seem easier. I think we all go thru periods where we are just tired, mentally physically and spiritually. I try and rejoice in the little things in life whenever possible - I know easier said then done. Hang in there girl!
