Radiation Technique: Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH
Has anyone used this radiation technique? I have also heard it called Active Breathing coordinator. THe technique is used mainly for patients with tumors on their left breast. It helps to avoid radiating the heart.
Alicia BTW: my last chemo is next Wednesday! Yippee! |

I hadn't heard about it but would have liked too. I had radiation to my left side. Was warned about possible effects to the heart though I didn't have any. Congrats on your last chemo, radiation is much easier.
