Yeah, feel free! It's not good to hold those feelings in! We can ALL relate!

I have an in-person support group. The woman who leads it said it was a very nice, seemingly very prim and proper, patient who gave her the lovely framed needlepoint miniature, with pretty hearts and flowers around the edge and "F@#k cancer" centered in the middle (only spelled out, no euphemisms.) I cuss like a sailor. Let 'er rip, as far as I'm concerned.

On the question of when does it become "normal" to be in treatment forever, I think it depends on the person and circumstances. Your long round trip to get your treatment is surely a big part of the reason it's so aversive for you. But I think it takes most people about 2 years.

You need to do what you need to do to get through this all. That RT is really a pain. It seems the first round with the surgeries, etc. is unbelievably difficult. To think of doing it all over again - I'd be pretty down about it too.

I wish I could offer you some advise, but I don't think you're really looking for that. Venting is good; it takes power away from thing that is pissing us off. Recognition is huge. I think denial is a killer and you're not in denial about the suckiness!

But hang in there, and I know you will. You're a fighter. Call anytime.
