Anybody still doing Serum HER2 testing?
There was hope that Serum HER2 testing would become an additional marker to monitor cancer and treatments. I haven't read about it lately. Does anyone have information about the studies that are going on. Anybody still using it?

Hello Michka!
Hope things are going well for you. Yes, I still have the HER2 Elisa blood test twice a year. Basically every other lab screening. My insurance is still paying for it. By this time this marker is part of my "security blanket." Like to see those numbers stay stable! |
Re: Anybody still doing Serum HER2 testing?
Bonjour Steph!
you seem to be the only one on this board doing this testing. In the first hospital where I started the TDM1 trial they also did Serum HER2 testing but as another trial. When I moved to a hospital in Paris, they said that they did not think this was reliable or even the future. As I am supposed to be NED and that TDM1 on a long period is toxic, I was hoping that it could help me decide in the future, if I could stop TDM1 and take it again if the Serum HER2 test went up. I figure we are all dreaming on this board of a reliable test to help us decide of treatments..... Porte toi bien! M |
