I'm suspicious of the label "mint condition". I mean..depends on the condition of the mint, no? If there's a bad season, does the meaning change?

I slipped and fell on the ice in my driveway yesterday while I was spreading rock salt so that I wouldn't slip and fall on the ice in my driveway.

My late Mother-in-law was having 'indigestions' while travelling with us to San Antonio for my citizenship ceremony in 1994. Early next morning we received a call from Father-in-law that he had taken her to a local hospital. She was later transferred to the hospital in our town and underwent a successful quardruple by-pass operation.

I wouldn't think that she was having a heart attack because of my becoming a US citizen - she's the one who had urged me to get on with the process. But that's what had happened. 100% truth...

I've never really used onion powder in my cooking before, but I went to organize my spice cabinet a few weeks ago and found 4 different jars of almost-full onion powder. I threw my head back and cried out to the heavens, "Damn you, Rich, and your powers of Influence!!!!"

Why don't they take the skin off of salmon before selling it?

Why does at least one burger always throw itself into the flames when I barbecue? (I mean it! I plan for it now, and make one extra)

Are turkey burgers hamburgers too? (this is an ongoing discussion with my brother...regular "ham"burgers aren't made of ham either!)

Denise, regarding the salmon skin, it could be that the skin contains a lot of omega 3 fats.

Hmm.. I never thought of that.
But...people don't usually eat the skin..do they?
We always scrape it off. Am I missing out on something delicious because of how it looks?!
