Cymbalta For Neuropathy

http://www.everydayhealth.com/sanjay...6pLid%3D336566

I am supposed to start Cymbalta for the neuropathic pain. I haven't filled the script yet, unsure, but found this very interesting item when I signed on this a.m.

I was prescribed Lyrica during my chemo for the same but the possible side effects of the Lyrica scared me more than the neuropathy so I decided to grin and bare it and didn't fill the script either.

I took Cymbalta for about 7 days for neuropathy. It made me feel light headed, confused and sort of creepy. I called and told the oncologist that I was going to discontiune it and I did. I actually hated it. Not sure if they gave me anything else instead. That was 7 years ago, maybe the formula has changed? It may be worth a try?

I've heard that you have to give it two weeks. I took it last night and didn't get up until 11:30, after getting Yasmin on the bus. I also tried Lyrica, FORGET IT. Worse for me.
I realize that I ran out of Metanx and that's probably why fingers were hurting. But hey, I'll give it a try. I am not a meds person at all.

Re: Cymbalta For Neuropathy

I posted someplace how Cymbalta saved me from the chemo and AI pain, and it did. But after a couple of months it made me a zombie sloth. I skipped it one day with intent to stop it, and I cried for no reason all day until I took it, it was silly because I wasn't sad or upset. Things didn't get better until I took it, but now breathing is difficult so I went to Dr. Google and found tons of issues associated with taking it including breathing issues and articles associated with stopping Cymbalta, the articles basically state if your tempted to try it, DO NOT, because getting off it is hell. Well, after two months on 20mg and trying to get off it, hell is an understatement. If your in this boat and based on today's googling ... my conclusion is rarely just stopping is successful, pulse dosing also does not work, and removing one bead from capsule each day over a long period of time was only successful approach. If you do not want to be a slave to this drug, do not start it.

Wow Thanks for the warning. I am sure you have saved someone from
making a mistake by starting it, or trying to quit on their own.
