Clean MRI just weeks ago - now a red itchy dot ??

I think I will go crazy one of these days...

Just a two weeks ago, they told me the MRI of the left mastectomy area was clean but last night I found a tiny itchy pinprick sized bump under my armpit, near the scar line...could the MRI have missed it??

I have left a message for my surgeon but I am pacing up and down, checking it in the mirror every few minutes ...will I ever stop worrying :(

love,
shobha

Hey Shobha, I cannot answer your post in the manner in which you need. What I can do is let you know I am here doing my own pacing and I would like us both to sit down as we await the answers. Come sit down by my side and talk about all things NOT breast cancer for a moment.

A few days ago I went to the campfire to burn my fears and negative energy there. Could I trust you by yourself if I went over there with yours so I could stoke the fire and watch them burn?? You could come with me but you are awaiting a phone call and posts from our sisters and brothers. Be back to the forum as soon as I watch them final embers burn.>>Believe51

That reminded me of a poem I wrote years ago, something about a dot, a dot, a dash, a blip, a drip, a drop...

AND how these words and "things" control our otherwise fine moment in time. I say, it could be anything. Something. Or nothing. Near the scarline - you could be throwing a stitch. One came out of me about a year ago. That was YEARS past my surgery.
Itchy? A stitch, a bite, an-ingrown who knows what.

You did the right thing...You took action (the phonecall) now try to get back into real time and remember that right now you are fine. Here's a strong hug!

sometimes an itchy red dot is just an itchy red dot!

Its good to be cautious, good to call the doctor.

Thank you so much Marie for burning my fears by the camp fire..I am just too jumpy right now.

Thank you Flori, I really needed that hug and the line from your cute poem - you made me feel lighter. I am still checking that red dot, hoping it will disappear some how and fully expecting it to burst into flames any minute!

Thank you, rl2. I hope you are right and it is just some silly prickly heat.

As always - can't tell you all how much you all mean to me.

hugs,
shobha
