Stable, or not so stable?
The most recent MRI indicates that the liver met (3cm x 2cm) is stable, but there is a satellite lesion that has gone from 7mm x 4mm to 12mm. The message from the oncologist says I'm stable. Say what? I'll be seeing her on Monday. Figures this happens right when the T-DM1 Theresa trial closes.

Re: Stable, or not so stable?
Penny,
I know you'll get the scoop from you oncologist on Monday; she must have a reason to call the results stable. I've learned (well, okay, maybe not completely) that if my oncologist is happy, I should be happy too. If it is necessary, you may be able to access TDM1 via one of the EAP locations - without the 2/3 randomization. But you will cross that bridge when you get there. Try to relax and enjoy over the weekend:) |
Re: Stable, or not so stable?
Thanks, Chrisy. I always value your words of wisdom. Can you explain what an EAP location is? I'm not sure I know what that is.

Hello Penny,
Link points to specifics to help enrollment at seven possible locations Genentech has made available for T-DM1 expanded access (EAP). Expanded access is a process regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that allows manufacturers to provide investigational new drugs to patients with serious diseases or conditions who cannot participate in a clinical trial. http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/sh...dm1+eap&rank=1 |

Re: Stable, or not so stable?
Penny,
Yes, stable is good. Hope you continue to see improvement (shrinkage). The FDA has been dragging its feet on T-DM1 for so long, there are other new medicine being tested quite successfully in clinical trials already. Sending you good vibes. |
