$3.1 million grant will help researchers to study signs of heart damage in young brea
A 5-year, $3.1 million grant from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, will enable researchers from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University Massey Cancer Center and Duke Cancer Institute to collaborate in a first-of-its-kind prospective study to look for the earliest signs of heart vessel damage in young, pre-menopausal breast cancer survivors.
