Air ionizer

I'm probably clutching at straws, but after over 2 years of constant chemo, the present one Herceptin, Navelbine, Xeloda, now probably not working after only 6 weeks I'm feeling like nothing is going to slow or stop this cancer.

I was speaking to a lady at chemo last week who was given 2 weeks to live 2 years ago. She has been using a personal air ionizer since the beginning and feels that is why she's here today, doesn't take any supplements or do anything else. Has been on Xeloda all the time but thats all. She knows a couple of other people it has helped with cancer also some with cardiomyopathy. When she asked the dr about it, he just said keep doing what you're doing, you're a miracle.

The machine is built here in Australia by a German, my problem is it costs $3000, which is expensive, especially if it has no affect.

Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with these machines.

I don't have the experience using it. But here is what Wikipedia says about the Air ionizer:

An air ioniser is a device that uses high voltage to ionise (electrically charge) air molecules. Negative ions, or anions, are particles with one or more extra electrons, conferring a net negative charge to the particle. Cations are positive ions missing one or more electrons, resulting in a net positive charge. Most commercial air purifiers are designed to generate negative ions.
The Geophysical Institute of the University of Alaska Fairbanks has published a paper reporting that cosmic rays normally create around 1000 negative ions and positive ions per cubic centimeter of outdoor air, the concentration being higher at higher altitudes and also near the sea. But indoor city environments may typically have half that concentration. Controlled studies have reported greater subjective well-being in an artificially negatively-ionised environment, though the reason for this is unknown.[1]
The high electric potentials used to create air ions are achieved by using capacitors to develop a high voltage (c.20,000 volts), low-current charge at an electrode. Such voltages can also generate ozone (an energetic allotrope of oxygen), and NOx, which, even in relatively low concentrations, may irritate lung tissues, causing chest pain, coughing, throat irritation and aggravated asthma.[citation needed]
However, the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles has stated its acceptance of anecdotal doctor's reports that the use of ionisers produces only neutral to positive reports when tried by patients suffering from respiratory problems and allergies.[

Thanks Jackie,
I can find a bit on the web about it being helpful for respiratory problems, but not a lot about cancer. Haven't had any other responses here so maybe its not worth pursuing.
