My previous profile contained some errors due to my ""chemo brain""! I am correcting and updating that.
August -1994-diagnosed with Stage II invasive ductal carcinoma.No node involvment. I had a mastectomy followed by 6 rounds of A/C. Then I had 5 years of Tamoxefin.
January -2003- diagnosed with mets to lung" chest and bone. Her2++....started taxotere and Herceptin. After 4 treatments " scan showed 85% shrinkage . Continued taxotere/hercetin. Scan in June showed no further progression. Now I am considered""Stable"" -discontinued Taxotere and have continued on weekly Herceptin and femara.
With God's love I hope to enjoy a long remission. I have learned that each day is truly a gift - and time with my family and friends is a blessing! I rely on my faith" inner strength and sense of humor to see me through this latest challenge in my life.
