Priscilla - if you are using the supplements recommended by Matthias Rath, don't forget there are four: Lysine, Proline (each 6 grams a day), green tea (2 grams a day) and vitamin C to bowel tolerance.

They work synergistically - the total effect being greate than the sum of them individually.
