Awful...Awful....

So awful how the scammers on getting through and posting on our dear loved ones threads who have passed on. Shame on whoever you are. You should be ashamed.

God sees.

Totally agree. This behaviour is despicable and I have NO idea what they hope to get out of it! They are certainly NOT going to get anyone to buy from them behaving this way.

I just deleted several posts. They didn't have "sales messages" in them but were garbage...

Now, now, Ladies,

I think the spammers have realized we are not the horny devils we used to be in the halcyon days prior to BC. Judging from the many offers of cheap Viagra, I am sure they are only well meaning and merely wish to heighten our anemic libidos!

How's that for putting on a positive spin on things? I should run for office!

I agree, this is absolutely awful. I know a few of the ladies here were working on ways of preventing this from happening. I know Joe use to be able to close a thread. Perhaps we can start closing old threads after a certain amount of time has passed. I know other websites do this - for example all threads automatically close after 90 days. They are still searchable and available but no one can add to it after that. I don't know if this solution would work for everyone though since sometimes we like to add new information to old threads. Just an idea. It is truly awful when a spammer brings up an old and painful thread. Shame on them is right!

The spam is annoying. It is especially hurtful, because it interferes with the exchange of important information and the sharing of good and bad times by people with major health problems who need support.

If I had my way with these vile cretins, I would draw mutton chops - a unibrow - and an ironic moustache on them in Sharpie, rub them w/ poison ivy, hose them down w/ simple syrup, velcro them to a wall underneath a hornets nest, plant their nekkid feet in a red ant hill, and then send them away for a week as the 'special' friend of some of the most endearing inmates in a highest security penetentiary.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

Written in true "Texas Style" there, Brenda. I am totally with you excepting that I might add giving them a nice big dose of Tykerb and then sow their pants shut. Crapping your drawers is sooooooo humbling....
