Cancerversary gifts to ourselves

After reading Becky's ideas about cancerversary gifts to ourselves I thought I'd post my foot with my pink ribbon tattoo on it. I did this for myself for my 2 year cancerversary. Actually, me and hubby went together to get tattoo's. He didn't get a pink ribbon thoughhttp://her2support.org/vbulletin/images/icons/icon7.gif!! I love my tattoo and it always reminds me of how far I've come. How much stronger I am both emotionally and physically.

Yes, cancer is scary and NOT what we would have picked for ouselves at the time but I can honestly say, I wouldn't change a day of what I've went through. I've been taken down different paths - new doors have been opened to me and I am enjoying life more than ever. I love more now, than ever before and I'm happier now. I honestly thought I was happy before. Well, I was but I'm way happier now. I know that's hard to fathom possibly but I'm thinking many of you can relate to what I'm saying.

Anyway, I wanted to share my tattoo with my her2 friends. I love it. Soon I will remove my foot from my posts - but for a few days I'll leave it.

Hugs to all,

Mary Jo

Love It!!!

I love it, I love it, I love it and the pink nail polish (is it Avon?...LOL!!) I also love the idea that you both went together to get them, but most of all I love your spirit. You bring me such joy just knowing you and being able to join your life. Thanks.

I'm in this alone Sweetie, but I am getting a ribbon that starts as a pink ribbon and gently turns to blue after the knot, this is my rendering of a breast cancer ribbon that represents the men that are affected in my life and the world!! Guess it is a reminder to me too and a tribute to all those others touched by breast cancer. I have been debating for a year now and last month decide to go for it. I never thought I would get one but here I go!!

Big hugs and prayers>>Believe51

Love the tattoo....if I am ever off chemo long enough, I plan to get one...you are brave as we know that tattoos on the foot are more painful!
What a great thing to do as a couple...in celebration!

I love your foot, although your face is prettier!!! Don't change the picture too soon. I love the flip flops and nail polish and just think it's great!

MArejo,

Your tatoo is sweet (I am sure bittersweet). Your toes look cute, too! Like Marianne said, your face is even cuter!

Hugs,
Lexi

I think it looks great too, Taxol did a number on my toe nails so they're not so pretty I'd want to show them off just yet...but maybe next year!
Love the tattoo:)

Decided to take my "foot" off now. It's been up long enough.
