does the fatigue pass?

hi everyone. i've been on tykerb 3 weeks now and started xeloda again after going off due to terrible side effects. i'm doing 2000mg daily instead of 4000mg and today is the 4th day. i keep getting hit with what i call toxic fatigue attacks. it's not all the time just comes and goes. but it's tough to function normally. does that pass as time goes on? i had some the 2 weeks i was on tykerb only but now with xeloda it's worse so i'm thinking it's more the xeloda. please tell me it gets better cause i may be on these drugs for the duration. yuck

Have faith it should get better, be patient with yourself. When you feel tired sleep and it's okay to do less than you did before, it may take your body 3-4 more weeks to get use to the combination particularly with having started with that high dose of Xeloda. Once your body adjusts most of us have found this regime very tolerable and had very good responses.

take care

I found that all SEs on Tykerb corrected for the most part after about 2 months... it just takes the body time to get used to this new combo. Some may take a little shorter, some may take a little longer, everyone is a little different.

Be sure and eat as clean and healthy as possible (be disciplined about this! it is huge), drink lots of water.

Are you taking any supplements with folic acid? You are not supposed to take any folic acid on Xeloda. It makes the side effects worse. No multi-vits or b-complex that have folic acid in them (and most do) - natural dietary folic acid is not a problem.
