How many times can you get taxotere
 

I know it is only once for AC. I had Taxotere 8 years ago but now they are suggesting TCH if I can't get into t-dm1 trial. I had a tough time with Taxotere 8 years ago and I doubt they have made it any easier.

I'm not sure Nancy but found Taxotere to be easier to tolerate than a/c and hope someone else can advise more!:)

nancy, the steroids were the worst part of Taxotere for me...wish it would have worked and I could have stayed on it, are you feeling any better with the rads? I would still check on the Eribulen with Herceptin.

In England I know two people who have had taxotere twice. I also found the steroids hard and was tearful a lot of the time. Lori R had abraxane the second time and seemed to find this easier.
I am assuming that Dr Slamon would want you to have T-DM1 as the preferred option? Are there any options to add pertuzumab?

I have had 3 rounds of a "taxane". 1st was taxotere and 2 rounds of Abraxane. I suggest asking your onc about Abraxane as I found it much easier to tolerate than the taxotere.

My onc has not mentioned a firm dose limit. She seems to use it until it stops working.

Were you thinking taxotere because of the requirement with perjeta?

I've had Taxotere, Taxol and Abraxane. As long as it works I think you can take it....I didn't have any major issues with any of them; I'm sorry to hear you have. Maybe you are better equipped now than you were before, and can do all the things you know how to do to make it easier this time around.

Taxotere is still the same but they have better drugs for side effects!

How many times can you get taxotere? Let me give you some anctedotal data (or at least one data point). :-) My wife has been on a taxane weekly for the better part of a year and a half now and still going... There were a few months of Navelbine instead, but suffice to say she has been on a taxane regimen a long time. BTW, her infusions are generally w/out steroids.
