Do you have Inflammatory BC by any chance? I heard that this combination has shown a great result for people with IBC and HER2 positive and no side effects. I'm very interested in your experience. My dx was in December 2004. I finished ACT 6 cycles dose dense every 2 weeks, then mastecomy and 20 rads and I'm taking Hercpetin every 3 weeks to prevent recurrence. I'm NED now. But becuae mine was IBC, Grade 3, progressed to skin and nodes under my arms, I like to be prepared and hope there is something else there. Please let me us know how you are doing and the requirments for being on this trial. Have you done chemo at all? I appreciate if you let me know your history.
All the best and good luck to you. |
Where is the trial, how far into it are you, do you have active mets, where???
Only a few questions Al |
How do you get onto this trial?

Hi -I'm at UCLA in the phase 1 trial. I started in March 2004. I am locally advanced stage 4 with skin mets. UCLA is currently recruiting for a phase 2 herceptin/avastin trial. UCLA´s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center telephone # is 310 929 5471.
Feel free to e-mail me. Regards, Carol |
I am new to these boards and tried to send you a message directly. Not sure if you got it. My sister is in the Herceptin/avastin trial up here in San Luis Obispo. She is in week 5 and has done very well tolerating the treatments. She is stage 4 with nodules in the lungs. Please let me know if you have any advice or just to keep in touch. Thanks,
