Happy Chinese New Year!
Celebrations abound in our neighborhood, much red and gold, tinsel ribbons flying high, lion dances, firecrackers blasting and dim sum carts with yummy goods afloat. This is the Year Of The Horse, or The Year of The Wooden Horse, and I wish everyone the power and endurance these symbols offer.
Good wishes, Karen |

New York City! Thump, thump, thump! Everyone is loving the day! Windows full of jade, gold, Buddhas and Good Luck Kitties, snapping firecrackers, wall-to-wall people with smiles, so full of promise!

Re: Happy Chinese New Year!
It sounds exciting and beautiful. I have never been to New York, but I feel like it would be such an interesting place to live with all the different cultures. My son went to New York and sang in Carnegie Hall some years back, and he fell in love instantly. When he came back for months he talked about how much he would love to live in New York City, which surprised me because where he grew up was soooo different, on a farm out in the country. Hopefully one day he will be able to achieve that dream of living in New York City.
