any studies on heceptin during WBR?

I'm sure this is a repeat but are there studies showing benefit of taking herceptin during WBR. Rad oncs have told us they don't want my wife to get any herceptin (or chemo current cocktail is navelbine, xeloda plus the herceptin) during WBR.

I think Christine mentioned to us herceptin during WBR should be beneficial in fact I think she said WBR presents an opportunity for herceptin to penetrate the blood brain barrier.

Since I didn't get any input from the her2group forum I thought maybe different eyes and depth of research may use this forum.

I'm not sure of the protocol in different forums. If I'm not supposed to ask questions here let me know.

I have read that both chemo and Herceptin penetrate the blood brain barrier better during WBR. I have no studies to site but I have seen this referenced many times.

Best regards

Becky
