A new analysis reveals that more than 90,000 new cancer cases a year in the United States may be due to physical inactivity and prolonged periods of sitting. The researchers presented their findings at the annual conference of the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) in Washington, D.C., citing about 49,000 cases of breast cancer and 43,000 of colon cancer from over 200 studies worldwide.

Dear News:
Please can you edit. Please use some discretion when posting these "causes for breast cancer" articles. It is very upsetting to know my sisters in HER2 are now running around in mea culpa self-hate for everything they ate, and aborted or whatever. It is getting too crazy and too worrisome for our sisters here. Take for example the fact that ER- and PR- women are now blaming their miscarriages for their currrent breast cancer. HORMONE NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER CANNOT BE CAUSED BY ABORTIONS AND TAKING THE PILL!!!!! These caveats are not even provided in the articles.
I just think you post too many wingy possible weird causes that a tiny study would have come out with and i believe it is causing too much stress in a site dedicated to women LIVING IN TERROR with their prognoses for survival already.

I am one who enjoys most of these articles and do a lot of "self" filtering on those that do not apply to me. While many of us have fears to deal with, I hope not many are "LIVING IN TERROR"....we need to work harder to support each other in positive ways.

nana why don't you post a note to the women who are hormone negative then, who are posting cos they are stressed out that their miscarriage caused their breast cancer? would that not be kind?
