Finally joining the thirteen year club!
 

I just got the all clear from my Dr this morning and so glad to be here still NED after all these years. Looking back there were so many times I thought I would never make it this far, and have sadly lost some dear friends along the way. Today my own celebration is for them as well as myself, and with so many of us surviving longer thanks to Herceptin initially, I hope it gives hope to anyone just starting their way on treatments. Thanks to everyone within this group too for all the help, support and advice I received over the years.

My tribute to Tricia! Because of Tricia, I found the Her2 support group 12 years ago. Tricia found me lurking on the Komen site. I was shocked and confused by my BC DX. Tricia directed me here where I found answers and support. September 2017 my husband and I met her for lunch in Dublin. She is still very active in supporting newly diagnosed. Tricia is an active, vivacious and kind sister. Tricia, Congratulations on your 13 year anniversary! The best of health to you and all of our sisters and brothers on the site!

Congratulations on the great anniversary! Every year out is encouraging to us, isn't it? Do you remember that we had twin kitties (black and white tuxedo)? My beloved Whiskers passed away in 2016 and I was truly heart broken. He was such a wonderful kitty. In January I decided I needed a kitty cat in my life again and was lucky to find a gorgeous British Longhair in need of a home. He was born in Russia, so what an odyssey that he would find his way to me! He is the purrfect pussy for us! God knew, I suppose! I'd insert a photo, but I do not know how. Maybe I will change out the Molly, The Survivor, photo on my signature provided I can figure out how to do THAT!


A friend's daughter was just over in Killarney competing at the World Irish Dance Competition. I enjoy going out to see the girls perform--those super fast feet! I may attend next year's competition.

Thank you Laurel, I remember when you lost Whiskers and I'm so pleased to know you have another furry friend in your life. I used to have six (and a long suffering husband lol) but we're down to three now as lost three to old age and illness.:( Killarney is a lovely part of the world, if you get to Ireland do let me know though as I'd love to meet up! If you're on Facebook I hope you'll look me up there too, I'm listed under my name here and friends with a few ladies from the her2 site.

Thank you for the good news. Like Catherine said, there are many newly diagnosed who are dazed and confused! Women like you, who stay active on a few fronts have done such a world of good for so many people.

Not to mention your work on behalf of animals!
