Hello

I haven't been on for awhile and trying to catch up, sadly I see we lost a few warriors and sadly we have a lot of newbies but we have an enormous amount of survivors so to u newbies, never lose hope. I am doing well. I have graduated to once a year follow ups and have been taken off of the femara. Now my body is trying to figure out what the old normal was after I got used to the new normal, go figure. I feel pretty good. We welcomed a new addition to our family, and he is fantastic! (Grandson) 5 yrs ago I never thought I would see that day. I still have all those dates etched in my mind, day of DX, first and last chemo but many days go by now that I don't think about cancer. So many of u on this board told me that would happen. I don't know how I would of done it without all u on this board offering encouraging words, advise and comfort. I just wanted to check in and say hello to all of you.

Darlene

Re: Hello

hi Chekmark and JRA40 - I remember both your posts as we were diagnosed within a year of each other. Glad to see all is well ! and congrats on the new addition to your family
I will be 5 years in August - feeling pretty good, some unpleasant menopause SE's but I manage.
My little guy graduated elementary school yesterday (Gr 8 here in Canada) cried like a baby - I was really worried when I was diagnosed that I would not see that day -
life is good

Hi Darlene- glad to know you're doing so well and enjoying life. I was taken off Arimidex after eight years which was two years ago but just started it again due to the new recent study showing ten years if more beneficial. Huge congrats on the new addition!
