Mysterious Fever

Hi All; Just want to report in on Day 7 of Tykerb...This past Sunday I started feeling very tired but attributed it to my too busy schedule. By yesterday morning was VERY tired and my husband said "Well, take your temperature silly" so I did and it was a bit elevated. By 11 am it was 102, so I called my onc's nurse and went in and had blood work done but counts were decent. I wasn't feeling sick, just tired, and my onc felt MAYBE the fever is a result of the cancer in the lymph nodes DYING! Sounds good to me!
Headed in for my third Abraxane today :)

P.S. My face is now peppered with pimples! Yeah!
P.S.S. Also still have the rash on my right upper arm on the outside, a bit more widespread now. Not uncomfortable at all.

Lolly - I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I am starting day 8 on t/x and in the beginning felt really tired, but it has improved somewhat. If the rash and pimples are a sign that the ol' stuff is working - yours should really be kicking bu__! Prayers are with you that you will have a great response to your meds!

Well I'm deciding that the treatment is really working, working hard and working well! I hope you begin feeling better and I really appreciate the update on your treatment. Take care and comfort in that this is all worth it.

day 33 T-X

I had a low grade fever around the same time, felt pretty crappy, freezing, aching, headach, etc. It passed after about 4 days. Hang in there:). I am on day 33 TX! More than half way until my first scan and the proof of the pudding. Then I'll figure out how to actually "live" on this stuff.

Hi Lolly,

I am with your Onc. and Joy on this one. I see your body doing it's part to kill those stupid cancer cells. Cook them away with your internal flame and good luck with your 3rd Abraxane. Thank you for keeping us posted.

PS - My Tykerb just came today...yikes! I have such mixed emotions. It is very helpful to hear your experiences on this journey.

Love, Hope, Peace and Cancer Butt kicking drugs,

Carolyns
