5 years of GP2 trial completed!
I got the official shout out from my clinical trial nurse.
I am graduating from the GP2, with honors (still NED). I think everyone should have some chocolate to celebrate! |

lizbeth -
Fantastic!!! Do you know if and when the vaccine would be available outside of the clinical trials? |
Re: 5 years of GP2 trial completed!
They still have to do phase III. I will do some checking but it should be a few years yet.

Congrats! I'll have some chocolate on your behalf :-)

Re: 5 years of GP2 trial completed!
Hi Lizbeth,
Thanks for the great news! Looks like you are contributing to the positive data we will see coming out (sometime?) on this phase. BTW - I keep a bar of 90% dark, organic chocolate right by my computer. I eat it in little bits so each bar last a few days! Just had a square. Talk about restraining myself and sticking to my self imposed limit ... |

Lizbeth
Super congratulations!!! I am a couple of years behind you in the GP2. I got GP2 with Herceptin. Oh boy, I sure hope I get that shout out at 5 years too! Like you, I just can't say enough about the vaccines. I have huge faith in them and the fantastic physicians like Dr. Mittendorf and Dr. Peoples who are working so very hard for us. Anna |
Re: 5 years of GP2 trial completed!
My nurse said she has a few participants that mentioned "that lady from San Diego".
I feel the same, very excited about the shift that vaccines will bring. No more treat and wait for recurrence. Those that are high risk should be able to have the vaccines, and not suffer through either the fear or reality of a recurrence. I applaud everyone who brings about a positive change to Standard of Care. Its a long and difficult process. |
