Understanding treatment and prognosis of male breast cancer
 
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the potentially-fatal disease. Breast cancer is known as an illness that affects mostly women, but about 1 percent of all breast cancers affect men, too.

Apparently men can get both inflammatory and Her 2 Neu positive breast cancer. Usually the male breast cancers are both estrogen and progesterone receptor positive. What is rare in men is DCIS, the ductal in situ kind of breast cancer. For some reason in men, the ductal carcinomas are more invasive.
