Calling all Stage 4 ladies!!!!
 

This is Rhonda (mrahoffman for the visitor from FV) and I have a friend from another (NON breast cancer support group) who has a friend that was dx w/ Stage 4 Her2+ BC and she needs hope BADDDD. Please ladies, reply to this post as to your dx date and current stats so that she may have hope. N (from FV), please tell your friend to feel free to join us AND to ask questions, this is the BEST place and there are SO many new treatments. Thank you everyone.

I was originally dx. in 1984--recurrance in2003--stage 4 since then. I am currently receiving T-DM1 for almost 2 years and doing well. My quality of life is great. Stage 4 for almost 9 years. Lots of reasons to hope!

Jackie posted a great thread for your friend. Not long ago all of the stage IV ladies posted there history there. She will find alot of hope on that thread...please have her read it. So many treatment options...and so much hope. If she feels up to it have her join us. It's always good to have support from other's that "get it". I am stage IV and it's been 5 yrs and 7 months.

Rhonda-what a great friend you are. My details are on the thread Jackie posted but I have had liver (2006) and bone (2007) mets for a good while now. Lots of treatments are availble and lots of people who have stable disease visit this site. I hope that gives your friend the reassurance that she needs that this can be a manageable disease.

Hi Rhonda

Coming up on 7 years post liver mets diagnosis. Although I'm currently changing horses treatment-wise, I've enjoyed 2 slow dances with NED (no evidence if disease) and have travelled the world and enjoyed continuing to work full time. Or is it worked full time and continued to enjoy traveling the world...

Either way, there is much hope out there for your friend with new options onto Jong to fill the pipeline.
